Peggy Piette named to head of Girl Scout council
Littleton woman has been longtime board member
BEDFORD – Peggy Piette of Littleton was elected to the position of chair for the board of directors of Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains on Nov. 14.
Piette, 47, has been a member of the council’s board since 2019, most recently as secretary.
“I look forward to serving our membership and advancing the Girl Scout movement to meet the needs of today’s girls,” said Piette.
She has been involved with Girl Scouts since she was a child and spent 10 years as leader of her daughter’s troop. During that time, she served in various roles including community and district Fall Product Sales and Cookie Sales Coordinator, as well as Volunteer Support Coordinator. She has served as a community delegate at council annual meetings and was a delegate for the National Council Session in 2017 and in 2024. Besides being a Girl Scout alum, she is also a lifetime member of Girl Scouts of the USA.
In addition to devoting her time to Girl Scouts, Piette works as a nurse practitioner in gastroenterology at Littleton Regional Healthcare. Prior to that she owned and operated her own nurse practitioner clinic specializing in travel medicine. She holds a master’s degree in nursing from George Washington University, completed her bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of Maine at Fort Kent, and has an associate’s degree in nursing from the New Hampshire Community Technical College-Berlin, where she began her career over 25 years ago.
