NASHUA – Henry Long, a 2026 graduate of Nashua High School South, was one of two recipients of this year’s STEM scholarship from the Nobis Group.

During his senior year at Nashua South, Long was captain of the Granite State Challenge team. He led the squad to its first championship in nine years, defeating Plymouth Regional High School in the title match.

In addition, Long was on the track and field team and participated in the pole vault. He was also a member of the boys varsity swimming and diving team.

He will be attending Colorado College to study environmental science.

The other scholarship recipient, Luz del Alba Diaz, is the 2026 valedictorian of Abbott Lawrence Academy in Lawrence, Mass.

During high school, she was a member of Girls Who Code and a participant in the early college program at Merrimack College.

Diaz has also been active in VEX and Botball robotics and has additional experience with Python, Java and C++.

She will be attending Princeton University to study environmental science and aerospace engineering.

We look forward to seeing all they achieve in the years ahead.”

Based in Concord, the Nobis Group is entirely employee-owned and specializes in engineering and environmental consulting.

For the past eight years, the company has awarded STEM scholarships to recipients who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, community involvement as well as a commitment to pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering or math.
