For the ninth consecutive year, Salem High School’s Culinary Arts students are gearing up to make over 1,000 holiday meals to donate to families in need across the Greater Salem area. This annual tradition is something that the culinary students look forward to participating in as part of their program. While the students and staff donate their time to prepare and assemble the meals, the cost of the ingredients and supplies must be fundraised each year. This year, their goal is to raise enough to prepare at least 1,100 meals for those who might otherwise not have a holiday meal to enjoy. The fundraising goal is $2,500 and the students have reached roughly 45% of their goal as of the start of December.
