NASHUA — William Fee, known by his stage name as Fee the Evolutionist, recently took first place in the hip-hop category of the New England Songwriting Competition for his track, “Just Call.”

Produced by Byron G for 603 Beat Collaboration and featuring the soulful vocals of Ruby Shabazz, the song serves as a dedicated tribute to Fee’s New England fan base. This recognition highlights Fee’s continued growth and his commitment to the regional music community.

Fee will bring his live show to two major regional stages this May. Fans can catch Fee and his full band, The Evolutionists, performing at The Lass Stop in Lowell, Mass. on May 1 at 10:30 p.m. as part of the Town and City Festival. This performance will showcase the group’s signature blend of lyricism and live instrumentation in the heart of downtown Lowell.

The celebration continues on May 18 at the legendary Jimmy’s Jazz and Blues Club in Portsmouth. This special evening features a joint performance with Shabazz and the full band bringing a mix of hip-hop and soul to the historic venue.

“Winning with a song written specifically for the fans makes these upcoming shows feel even more significant,” said Fee. “We’re looking forward to sharing this moment with the community in Lowell and Portsmouth.”
