Granite VNA awarded three-year, $60,000 grant from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation

By Staff | Jan 28, 2022

CONCORD – Granite VNA, formerly Concord Regional VNA and Central NH VNA & Hospice, and the largest home health and hospice provider in New Hampshire, recently received a three-year, $60,000 grant from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. This Community Grant Program awards unrestricted funds that support an organization’s general operations rather than a particular project.

“We are extremely grateful and appreciative of the support from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation,” said Beth Slepian, President and CEO, Granite VNA. “These funds come at a particularly important time as Granite VNA works to integrate operations and expand community benefit programming throughout our service area.”

Granite VNA’s robust community benefit programming was developed and launched many years prior to the merger. Therefore, these programs are currently not offered throughout the entire 82-community service area. This grant will provide unrestricted funds to the agency’s general operations and help the agency offer these programs to community members who previously did not have access to them.

Since 1899, Granite VNA has been caring for people in their homes and leading the way in population health. The agency provides hospice services throughout the 82 communities it serves in patients’ homes, in skilled nursing settings, and at Hospice House on Pleasant Street in Concord, which was the first facility of its kind in New Hampshire.

The more than 450 highly skilled clinicians and staff members of Granite VNA provide unmatched care across the entire life span – from birth to end-of-life. The agency provides a broad array of services, including home care, hospice care, palliative care, pediatric and maternal child health, and personal home services, as well as community clinics and wellness programs.

About Granite VNA: Granite VNA is a not-for-profit licensed and certified home health and hospice care provider. The agency serves people of all ages in 82 communities across the Greater Capital Region and Central New Hampshire by providing home care, hospice care, palliative care, personal home services, pediatric and maternal child health services, and wellness programming. The agency has offices in Concord, Laconia and Wolfeboro. Formed through the merger of Concord Regional VNA and Central New Hampshire VNA & Hospice, Granite VNA has served New Hampshire since 1899.
