Phi Kappa Phi

BATON ROUGE, A. – The following people recently were initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.

Mackenzie Kearns of Bedford at Pennsylvania State University.

Diane Donaher of Hudson at University of Maryland, Baltimore Campuses.

University of Central Oklahoma

Nashua resident Katherine N. Stough graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology as a part of spring 2021 class, which included 1,302 students from throughout Oklahoma, the country and world.

Miami University

Brookline resident Lindsey Shaklee has been applying the tools of science, education and conservation to become a leader in the conservation community. In May 2021, Shaklee concluded her master’s course of study with a master of arts in teaching in the biological sciences from Miami University through Project Dragonfly.

Since joining the Global Field Program master’s in 2018, Shaklee has traveled to Belize and Costa Rica, engaged with global conservationists in action projects through a new online course, and conducted projects that have made a difference in the Brookline area.

Throughout her time in the GFP, Shaklee developed a Master Plan – a kind of personal mission statement for what she wanted to accomplish in the program. In many of her master’s courses, Shaklee designed projects that supported this plan, which culminated in a final portfolio, “Getting Families into Nature,” presented in a Capstone course.
