Cyclist in intensive care after Hudson crash

HUDSON — A male cyclist remains in the intensive care unit at Elliot Hospital in Manchester following a crash with the driver of a Chevrolet Malibu on May 3.

The identities of the victim and the driver have not been released.

According to Hudson Police, emergency personnel arrived on the scene at the intersection of Library and Connell streets at 4:35 p.m.

The preliminary investigation suggests that the cyclist was not wearing a helmet when he collided with the side of the vehicle.

According to police, the driver of the Malibu was stopped and waiting to make a left turn onto Connell Street. As the driver was turning, the cyclist, who was traveling on the shoulder of Library Street, struck the vehicle on the passenger side.

Neither individual appeared to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. No charges have been filed and the crash remains under investigation.
