Easterseals delivers vital services for New Hampshire veterans and their families

By Staff | Apr 15, 2021

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted all New Hampshire residents, but thanks to the generosity of the Disabled Veterans National Foundation, Easterseals NH Military & Veterans Services has been able to quickly and efficiently help service members, veterans and their families with a wide range of family, personal and financial challenges.

The restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic have made it challenging for people to access the services they rely on for their health and well-being. Easterseals is grateful for philanthropic partners, including the Disabled Veterans National Foundation, who provided the financial support needed to continue services for low-income veterans and their families. The grant from the Disabled Veterans National Foundation will ensure that veterans continue to receive critical Care Coordination to ensure their health and well-being during the pandemic.

Maureen Beauregard, President & CEO for Easterseals NH, ME & VT and Farnum, noted, “The COVID-19 pandemic has changed all of our lives, but with the generous support of the Disabled National Veterans Foundation, Easterseals NH Military & Veterans Services was able to adapt and quickly respond to the needs of those who have served our country. Our commitment is to ensure that veterans who require assistance during this challenging time receive the services they need. We are incredibly grateful to have partners like the Disabled Veterans National Foundation who share our commitment to ensuring no veteran is left behind. We thank the Disabled Veterans National Foundation for always being there for our most vulnerable residents and providing an important safety net in times of crisis.”

Joseph Van Fonda (USMC Sgt.Maj. Ret.), CEO of the Disabled Veterans National Foundation said, “We are proud to support Easterseals, as they continue to make a positive impact in veterans’ lives. We would like to congratulate and thank them for their commitment to assisting the men and women who served in defense of our country.”
