NASHUA — The YMCA of Greater Nashua is thrilled to announce an extraordinary act of generosity: an anonymous donor has pledged a $100,000 matching gift to support the renovation of its Early Education Center at the Merrimack YMCA, doubling the impact of every community contribution made moving forward.

“This is more than a financial gift–it’s a resounding vote of confidence in the power of early childhood education,” said Michael LaChance, CEO of the YMCA of Greater Nashua. “We are beyond grateful for this generous match and inspired by the opportunity it gives our community to come together and make a lasting impact.”

The $100,000 match is a pivotal boost to the YMCA’s ongoing fundraising campaign to renovate and modernize its Early Education Center. Located in the heart of Greater Nashua at the Merrimack YMCA, the center serves hundreds of children each year with a focus on social, emotional, and academic development during the most critical years of brain growth.

With this renovation, the YMCA of Greater Nashua will:

-Modernize classroom spaces to support early childhood education and development.

-Improve accessibility and safety across the facility.

-Expand capacity to serve more working families.

-Create sensory-friendly and nature-based environments that foster curiosity and wellness.

Families are already feeling the excitement. “We know child care is the workforce behind the workforce,” said one YMCA parent. “Knowing our kids are thriving in a safe, creative and nurturing space means we can show up fully at work.”

The community is now being called upon to help unlock this transformative match. Every donation made–whether large or small–will be doubled, bringing the YMCA one step closer to reimagining early education in Greater Nashua.
