NEWTON, Mass. – Jillian Nangle, a Lasell University student from Hudson, was a contributor to a public art display, “The Gratitude Garden,” as part of a First-Year Seminar course, “The Spark of Creativity,” led by Assistant Professor Deborah Baldizar.
The intention of the Gratitude Garden, per Baldizar, is to bring the Lasell community together and remind them that there is still much to be grateful for, even in trying times of disconnect and isolation. Nangle was among the students who sought out responses from the community and shared them as part of the public display. Responses were written on fabric donated by Lasell’s School of Fashion and strung up between trees on campus as a visual reminder of hope and positivity. The Gratitude Garden will remain up through the beginning of this semester.
