Scouting Around

By Staff | Dec 26, 2020

Part of the Scout oath is ‘to help other people at all times.’ Scouts in Pack 425 joined hundreds of other Scouts throughout New Hampshire with the annual ‘Scouting for Food’ drive. On Nov. 7, they placed door hangers on the door of each house in their assigned neighborhood. The door hangers instructed residents that wished to participate in the food drive to leave food out for pick-up on Nov. 14. All food collected by Scouts was delivered to local food pantries and soup kitchens. It was estimated that for every hanger placed on doors in Pack 425’s area, they collected an average of two cans of food. The food that was collected by Pack 425 went directly to the Heritage Baptist Church food pantry and will be distributed to hungry people in the area. The Pack had 100% of their Scouts participate in this project. Pack 425 meets at the Nashua Fish and Game Clubhouse, 21 Al Paul Lane in Merrimack on Tuesday nights.
