Hollis Old Home Sept. 13-14

By Staff | Sep 6, 2019

HOLLIS – It’s time for Hollis Old Home Days.

Enjoy delicious food, place your bid at the silent auction, buy unique items at the artisan market, hop on a carnival ride and watch the fireworks – fun for the entire family.

Last year’s free shuttle was such a hit, fair officials have brought it back. Take the bus for easy, free transportation to Nichols Field. Park your car at Hollis/Brookline High School and pick up the shuttle bus. (Parking will be extremely limited at the field.)

Events begin at 5 p.m. on Sept. 13 at Nichols Field. Attractions include games, amusement rides, a teen dance, dinner options and more.

On Sept. 14, start the day with the parade, move on to the artisan market and silent auction (a joint partnership between the OHD committee and Wild Salamander), vendor booths, car, truck and tractor show, concerts, equestrian vaulting, tethered hot air balloon rides and so much more. At the conclusion of the festival, Old Home Days (in corporation with Atlas Fireworks) will present a wonderful celebration of fireworks, beginning at 8 p.m. There’s truly something for every age at this Hollis tradition.

Old Home Days runs from 5-10 p.m. on Sept. 13 from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 14.

For a complete schedule of activities, check out hollisoldhomedays.org.

The rain date for the fireworks is 8 p.m. Sept. 15.

Light rain will not postpone events.
