BOSTON – The Massachusetts Port Authority recently presented Neil Ivester, of Merrimack, N.H., its Outstanding Achievement award.

The award honors employees who have made a noteworthy contribution to the operation of Massport.

Ivester is an operations shift manager at L.G. Hanscom Field in Bedford. He was recognized for his role in maintaining the airport in a safe and operational status during the winter.

Hanscom Field recorded more than 69 inches of snow during the 2012-13 winter season, which is significantly more than Hanscom’s average of 47 inches.
