Nashua man sentenced to prison on two drug cases
CONCORD – Remi Barrera, 38, of Nashua, was sentenced on July 2 to up to 24 years in prison stemming from two drug cases in 2025 and 2024.
According to Attorney General John Formella’s Office, in the 2025 case, Barrera pled guilty to possession of a controlled drug with intent to sell, subsequent offense and three counts of the sale of a controlled drug, subsequent offense. Barrera’s sentence will be suspended by one year provided that he completes substance abuse treatment while incarcerated. The three sales charges, which carry a sentence of up to 15 years, will be suspended for 10 years after Barrera’s release.
On three occasions in January 2025, Barrera sold crack cocaine to a Nashua Police Department informant. At the time of his arrest, police found that Barrera was in possession of approximately 51 grams of fentanyl.
Police later determined that Barrera had made “thousands of sales” to individuals in New Hampshire and travelled to Massachusetts “several times a week” to replenish his drug supply.
In the 2024 case, Barrera was convicted of possession of a controlled drug with intent to sell, subsequent offense and two counts of the sale of a controlled drug, subsequent offense.
In that case, Barrera sold crack cocaine to a police informant in August 2023. He also sold fentanyl to an informant in October 2023 and was found in possession of fentanyl with intent to sell in January 2024.
