Kinsley Street fire displaces 12, injures firefighter

NASHUA – One firefighter sustained minor injuries and 12 residents were displaced during a two-alarm fire at 43 Kinsley St. on the evening of Feb. 25.
According to Nashua Fire Rescue, firefighters responded at 8:51 p.m. Engine 2 was the first to arrive and reported “heavy fire” from the two-and-a-half-story apartment building.
Firefighters knocked down flames in a first floor apartment as well as fire that was climbing up the outside of the building.
It was later determined that smoke detectors were present; however, the building did not have a sprinkler system.
The displaced residents are being assisted by the city’s Emergency Management Department and the Red Cross.
According to the Assessor’s Database, the property is owned by Pablo Kelly and is valued at $559,900.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
