NASHUA – Vibe Yoga, prominently located in Nashua at 182 Main St.,was an alluring venue on Feb. 15 for the inexperienced curious and for the more adept practitioners of the ancient art of yoga, applied in-studio by a team of expert instructors guiding visitors in bending, stretching and reaching for the sky and better health at the studio’s community Open House.

“Vibe Yoga isn’t just about doing sun salutations. We can do those at home. It’s about showing up for yourself and for one another. This is a place for connection, healing, and growth,” said Maya Aylward of Nashua, studio owner and operator since November.

“We held an Open House to invite our community of both current students and those curious about yoga to experience the variety of styles our teachers bring to Vibe,” she added.

The Vibe Yoga website reveals modestly priced monthly membership packages that offer a range of opportunities for yogis who enjoy some of the most ancient expressions of the craft — Vinyasa Flow, Slow Flow, Gentle and Yin, along with Restorative, Qi Gong, Kundalini and Prenatal Yoga.

In addition, single classes, beginner bundles and prepaid cards for five or 10 visits are available.

Sessions from specialists in their favored disciplines are conducted throughout the day and evening. The current team includes Aaliya, Amy, Bobby, Candy and Catherine, along with Daniele, Ky, Maya and Melony, plus Michelle, Rara and Sam.

A popular Friday evening entree is an informal class titled, “Flow + UnWINEd.” It features a gratitude meditation, note or journal writing to oneself or an appreciated loved one, relaxed social time and a “Balanced Flow” yoga session that includes a rewarding glass of wine.

Common descriptions of yoga in literature and online note its beneficial effects as efficient in enhancing pathways for strengthening the connections between one’s spiritual, mental and physical states through holistic practices.

The goals for many students and devotees reportedly include relaxation, peace of mind, reduced stress and improved physical health.

Nevertheless, Aylward contends that yoga also is a lot of fun.

“There are many misconceptions about yoga. You don’t have to touch your toes or look holy. You only need to show up exactly as you are,” Aylward concluded.
