NASHUA – Michael Miller, a 64-year-old resident of Nashua Post Acute Care, recently achieved his longtime dream of skydiving.
“I’ve always wanted to fly like a bird,” he said. “To see them soaring in the sky, I would look up and I wanted that to be me. I am so thankful for the experience. The freedom and chance to soar was everything.”
Seana Hall, vice president of life enrichment, said Nashua Post Acute Care is celebrating 2026 as the Year of No Limits. She also said the organization fosters a very active community of older adults.
“Many people think life stops and that’s not the case,” said Hall.
She said skydiving is something Miller always wanted to do. Working with her colleagues and SkyVenture New Hampshire, Hall was able to bring Miller’s dream to life.
“He’s always wanted to fly like a bird.” she said. “He is very active; he has a great personality.”
Powered by SkyVenture’s wind tunnel, Miller was carried 40 feet in the air as his friends looked on with cell phones in hand.
“He thought the experience was amazing,” said Hall. “He said it was very freeing.”
Katrina Greenhalgh, an administrator at Nashua Post Acute Care, said it was gratifying to provide Miller with this opportunity.
“Making dreams happen and being able to participate in something someone never thought was possible was absolutely amazing,” she said. “The older we get, we start to hear the challenges and barriers we will face in everyday life, so to be able to do something our residents never thought was possible and make that a reality is truly memorable. The sheer joy and awe that was captured on Michael’s face as he first lifted off the ground will be something I get to cherish as an administrator for the rest of my career.”
