Nashua Historical Society to host afternoon tea on March 8
NASHUA – The Nashua Historical Society invites the community to step back in time for an afternoon tea, Steeped in ’76 Tea Party: With a Splash of Red, White and Blue, on March 8.
Inspired by the upcoming 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, this festive gathering will blend history, creativity, and celebration in a uniquely memorable way.
Guests will enjoy a tea service featuring fragrant teas, scones, petite sandwiches and sweet treats, all served amid patriotic red, white, and blue décor. Designed for ages 6 and up, the afternoon offers engaging activities for history lovers of all generations, including:
-A special presentation by textile expert Penny LaCroix, Dyeing Colonial-Style Cloth
-A hands-on colonial-inspired craft
-A special raffle and other surprises
In the spirit of the celebration, attendees are encouraged to bring a friend or family member and dress in red, white, and/or blue. Doors open at 12:30 p.m., with tea service beginning promptly at 1 p.m.
Reservations are required; seating is limited. Tickets may be purchased at the Nashua Historical Society (Tuesday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.) or online at nashuahistoricalsociety.org/events. Please note that online and credit card purchases include a $2 convenience fee.

The event will be held in the fully accessible Florence H. Speare Memorial Museum Library, at 5 Abbott St. A ramp and elevator are available. Free parking is offered in the Crescent Street parking lot, with additional street parking on Abbott Street.
