City man charged with L.L. Bean theft

NASHUA – Peter Walden, 49, of Nashua, was taken into custody on Jan. 29 in connection with a theft at L.L. Bean.

According to the Nashua Police Department, in November 2025, officers received a theft report from the L.L. Bean at 375 Amherst St. Shortly thereafter, police identified Walden as the suspect using video surveillance.

After furthering the investigation, officers learned that Walden had at least two prior theft convictions.

He has been charged with theft by unauthorized taking (two prior convictions).

Walden was held on preventive detention and was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on Jan. 30.

Under state law, if convicted, Walden could face up to seven years in prison, up to five years of probation and a fine of up to $4,000.
