City man charged with abusing mother

NASHUA – Ian Delmore, 40, of Nashua, was taken into custody on Dec. 7 in connection with an alleged domestic violence incident.
According to the Nashua Police Department, officers responded to a dispute between Delmore and his mother. Officers learned that Delmore had physically abused his mother and that she no longer felt safe.
When police arrived, Delmore’s mother was outside the residence while Delmore remained inside. Although Delmore ultimately came out of the home, he reportedly refused to speak with officers.
Delmore has been charged with second degree assault-domestic violence (strangulation) and five counts of domestic violence-simple assault.
Delmore was held without bail and was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on Dec. 8.
Under state law, if convicted, Delmore could face up to 12 years in prison, up to five years of probation and up to $14,000 in fines.
