Bridges to host third annual Thanksgiving with Friends on Nov. 13
NASHUA — Bridges by EPOCH will welcome preschool children and their parents from Marguerite’s Place for the third annual Thanksgiving with Friends celebration on Nov. 13, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Residents and their young friends will gather for a family-style traditional Thanksgiving meal prepared by Bridges chef Shelly-Anne Storer and her culinary team. The meal will feature all the classic fixings from roast turkey and mashed potatoes to stuffing.
This cherished intergenerational event celebrates a partnership between Bridges and Marguerite’s Place, which began in 2019. Each month, children from Marguerite’s Place day care programs visit Bridges for activities designed to foster connection, joy and mutual learning. Although the program paused during the COVID-19 pandemic, it resumed in 2022 and has continued to thrive.
“The benefits of intergenerational programming can be both seen and felt,” said Bridges Executive Director Michelle Pelham. “When our friends from Marguerite’s Place are in our community, we see the smiles from both our residents and the children, but more importantly, we feel the energy, excitement and love.”
