CONCORD – Merrimack County Savings Bank continues to support the fight against breast cancer with a $10,000 sponsorship to Making Strides of New Hampshire.
For the 10th year, the bank will be Survivor Place Sponsor at this year’s Breast Cancer Walk on Oct. 26 at Memorial Field in Concord.
“Making Strides is more than just a walk, it brings the community together to honor our loved ones affected by cancer,” said bank President Linda Lorden. “By participating you’re not only helping fund research, you’re directly supporting local survivors and their family members.”
Making Strides is the nation’s largest and most impactful breast cancer fundraiser walk. Last year, New Hampshire supporters raised more than $500,000 to help the American Cancer Society fund the future of breast cancer research and programs.
“This movement would not be possible without the generosity of our local businesses and organizations,” said Nancy Mathis, senior development manager at the American Cancer Society. “Over the years, The Merrimack has been a steadfast supporter – contributing more than $100,000 to help patients, survivors, thrivers, and caregivers through every step of the journey.”
Making Strides of New Hampshire amplifies the local passion and resolve in the fight against breast cancer. Together, participants, organizers and volunteers create awareness by supporting survivors and their families, while raising money for critical breast cancer research through the American Cancer Society.
