St. Joe’s to host fourth annual Survivor Olympics at Holman Stadium
NASHUA — St. Joseph Hospital recently announced that it will be hosting the fourth annual Survivor Olympics, a vibrant community event honoring cancer survivor and their families.
The event will be held on Aug. 2 from noon to 3 p.m. at Holman Stadium, 67 Amherst St.
This year’s Survivor Olympics promises a day filled with fun, camaraderie and inspiration. Participants will engage in a series of field day style challenges, including the egg-and-spoon race, giant Connect 4, frisbee toss and more. Teams will rotate through these activities, earning points and raffle tickets based on their performance. The team with the most points will win a grand prize of $200 in cash.
The event is open to all ages and abilities, with registration fees set at $10 per player. Children under 13 can participate for free. Teams can consist of up to six members, or individuals and couples can sign up and be paired with others to form teams.
After the challenges, attendees are invited to enjoy a complimentary BBQ at the stadium, with adult beverages available for purchase. This gathering offers a wonderful opportunity to relax, reflect, and celebrate the strength and resilience of the cancer survivor community.
“The Survivor Olympics is more than just a fun day of games; it’s a celebration of life, resilience, and the power of community,” said Timothy McMahon, spokesperson for St. Joe’s. “We invite everyone to join us in honoring those who have faced cancer and to show our collective strength and support.”
Registration is now open, and spots are limited to the first 20 teams. To register or learn more about the event, visit the official event page at https://stjosephhospital.com/support-st-joseph/fundraising-events/survivor-olympics/.
