Nashua Chess Club announces new president
NASHUA – The Nashua Chess Club, a cornerstone of the local chess community for five decades, is proud to announce the appointment of its new president, Wilton resident Tyler Kilulis.
The incoming president brings a unique blend of academic excellence and chess leadership experience to the role. Originally from Ashland, Mass., he became seriously engaged with the game when he was 17. It was a passion that would shape Kilulis’ collegiate and professional journey.
His leadership credentials were forged at the University of New Hampshire, where he pursued a dual degree in statistics, earning both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. During his time at UNH, he demonstrated exceptional leadership in the chess community, serving as vice president of the university’s chess club as a sophomore before taking over as president during their senior year.
Established in 1975, the Nashua Chess Club, has been a cornerstone of the local chess community for 50 years, and meets at the Nashua Public Library, 2 Court St. every Thursday at 6:30 p.m. Players of all skill levels are invited to attend at no charge. Boards and pieces are provided.
