Nashua Police make 14 arrests under Substance Abuse Reduction Initiative
NASHUA – During a one-month period ending on May 31, the Nashua Police Department arrested the following 14 individuals for various drug crimes, crimes frequently associated with criminal behavior related to drug activity and other criminal offenses. Several of these arrests stemmed from when officers were operating under the New Hampshire Substance Abuse Reduction Initiative Grant.
Lonnell Harris, 56, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute (fentanyl), two counts of possession of a controlled drug (methamphetamine and crack cocaine) and common nuisances. Harris was released on personal recognizance bail pending his arraignment in Nashua District Court. Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to 51 years in prison, up to 15 years of probation and up to $512,000 in fines.
James Canney, 63, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled drug (fentanyl and crack cocaine)-subsequent offense. Canney was held without bail pending his arraignment in Nashua District Court. Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to 15 years in prison, up to five years of probation and a fine of up to $4,000.
Marissa Powell, 35, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled drug (fentanyl and crack cocaine)-subsequent offense and criminal trespass. Powell was released on $250 cash bail pending her arraignment in Nashua District Court. Under state law, if convicted, she could face up to 31 years in prison, up to 10 years of probation and up to $6,000 in fines.
Daniel Cadete, 55, was arrested and charged with three counts of sale of a controlled drug (fentanyl) and common nuisances. Cadete was released on personal recognizance bail pending his arraignment in Nashua District Court. Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to 97 years in prison, up to five years of probation and up to $1.5 million in fines.
Amber Girouard, 39, was arrested and charged with three counts of possession of a controlled drug (crack cocaine, methamphetamine and buprenorphine/naloxone)-subsequent offense and two counts of resisting arrest/detention. Girouard is being held without bail pending her arraignment in Nashua District Court. Under state law, if convicted, she could face up to 47 years in prison, up to 15 years of probation and up to $16,000 in fines.
Becky Hewes, 41, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled drug (fentanyl and crack cocaine)-subsequent offense. Hewes was released on personal recognizance bail pending her arraignment in Nashua District Court. Under state law, if convicted, she could face up to 30 years in prison, up to 10 years of probation and up to $8,000 in fines.
Jessica Cothern, 27, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled drug (fentanyl). Cothern was released on personal recognizance bail pending her arraignment in Nashua District Court. Under state law, if convicted, she could face up to seven years in prison, up to five years of probation and a fine of up to $4,000.
Nicole Colon, 33, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled drug (clonazepam)-subsequent offense and prostitution. Colon was released on personal recognizance bail pending her arraignment in Nashua District Court. Under state law, if convicted, she could face up to 16 years in prison, up to five years of probation and up to $6,000 in fines.
Vanessa Tomolonis, 33, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled drug (fentanyl). Tomolonis was released on $100 cash bail and pending her arraignment in Nashua District Court. Under state law, if convicted, she could face up to seven years in prison, up to five years of probation and a fine of up to $4,000.
Ein Nickerson, 41, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled drug (fentanyl)-subsequent offense, operating without a valid license, driving after suspension and operating a motorcycle without a motorcycle license. Nickerson was released on personal recognizance bail pending his arraignment in Nashua District Court. Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to 15 years in prison, up to five years of probation and up to $5,200 in fines.
Jason Soto, 44, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute (crack cocaine and fentanyl). Soto was released on $400 cash bail pending his arraignment in Nashua District Court. Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to 60 years in prison, up to five years of probation and up to $1 million in fines.
Ashley Wright, 34, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled drug (fentanyl and oxycodone hydrochloride)-subsequent offense and possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute (methamphetamine)-subsequent offense. Wright was held without bail pending her arraignment in Nashua District Court. Under state law, if convicted, she could face up to 60 years in prison, up to 10 years of probation and up to $508,000 in fines.
James Brown, 39, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled drug (fentanyl)-subsequent offense. Brown was released on personal recognizance bail pending his arraignment in Nashua District Court. Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to 15 years in prison, up to five years of probation and a fine of up to $4,000.
Richard Beaudin, 48, was arrested and charged with possession of controlled drug (fentanyl)-subsequent offense. Beaudin was released on Personal Recognizance Bail pending his arraignment in Nashua District Court. Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to 15 years in prison, up to five years of probation and a fine of up to $4,000.
