HUDSON – One lucky Granite Stater purchased a Powerball ticket worth $2 million from Market Basket on Lowell Road for the May 31 drawing.

The ticket, originally a $1 million winner, was Power Played for a 2x multiplier, resulting in a $2 million jackpot win.

The winner’s identity has not been released.

“Another big Powerball winner in New Hampshire! What an exciting time for us here at the New Hampshire Lottery,” said Charlie McIntyre, executive director of the New Hampshire Lottery. “Congratulations to Market Basket in Hudson for the sale and to our big winner. We’ll be eagerly awaiting your arrival at Lottery headquarters to hand over that big prize. The only question that remains is who’s next?”

This winner follows a $1 million Powerball winning ticket sold at Hannaford in Rochester for the May 21 drawing.

Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
