PORTLAND, Maine – After six months on the lam, Kristofer Haken, 46, of Londonderry, was taken into custody on several state and federal charges.

According to the U.S. Marshals Service, police in Portland, Maine issued a warrant for Haken’s arrest on Nov. 8, 2024 for his alleged involvement in a fatal shooting on July 30, 2024. He was charged with conspiracy to commit elevated aggravated assault and two counts of elevated aggravated assault.

In April of this year, Haken was arrested in Vermont during a fugitive from justice investigation. He is also wanted in New Hampshire for an alleged probation violation.

On May 6, the U.S. Marshals Service in Maine issued an arrest warrant for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. Within 24 hours, he surrendered to New Hampshire Probation and Parole.

Haken is also believed to be associated with the Outlaws Motorcycle Club — the third-largest biker gang in the world after the Bandidos and the Hells Angels.

If convicted, Haken could face up to 77 years in prison, up to three years of probation and up to $111,000 in fines.
