City woman facing charges linked to opioid overdose

NASHUA – Karrie McMurray, 45, of Nashua, was taken into custody on April 30 in connection with an alleged fentanyl overdose last summer.
According to the Nashua Police Department, on June 27, 2024, officers responded to a report of an unconscious child who had reportedly overdosed on fentanyl. As first responders administered life-saving measures, the child regained consciousness and was taken to a local hospital.
During their investigation, detectives linked McMurray to the incident. She has been charged with two counts of acts prohibited: possession of a controlled drug and four counts of dealing in or possessing prescription drugs.
She was released on a $250 cash bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on May 29.
Under state law, if convicted, McMurray could face up to 18 years in prison, up to 10 years of probation and up to $16,000 in fines.
