NASHUA – Aisayack Perez-Virella, 21, and Choaniel Martinez-Virella, 20, both of Nashua, were taken into custody on Feb. 11 in connection with an altercation resulting in gunfire last November.

According to the Nashua Police Department, on Nov. 26, 2024, officers responded to 52 Ash St. for a report on gunshots.

Upon arrival, they were told that a group of individuals had gathered for a fight. Within the group, Nery Virella and Mayda Virella, both of Nashua, were reportedly armed. During the altercation, four shots were allegedly fired. No injuries were reported and the Virellas were arrested the following day.

After further investigation, police learned that Perez-Virella was carrying a baseball bat and allegedly assisted the Virellas with their guns.

Perez-Virella has been charged with being an accomplice to attempted first degree assault, criminal threatening with a deadly weapon and riot.

According to police, Martinez-Virella was carrying a gun and also allegedly assisted the Virellas with their guns.

Martinez-Virella has been charged with being an accomplice to attempted first degree assault, riot and criminal threatening.

Perez-Virella and Martinez-Virella were scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on Feb. 12.

Under state law, if convicted, Martinez-Virella could face up to 23 years in prison, up to five years probation and up to $10,000 in fines. Perez-Virella could face up to 29 years in prison, up to 10 years probation and up to $12,000 in fines.

In December 2023, Perez-Virella was charged with four counts of reckless conduct, riot and the felonious use of a firearm stemming from a shooting incident at the intersection of West Hollis and Vine streets.
