NEW BOSTON – Patrons are praising Townline Indoor Farmstand, a year-round farmer’s market opened in October with a mission to serve local communities by featuring farm products, handmades and seasonal produce inside 290 2nd New Hampshire Turnpike.

“Everything from our ever-growing list of 25-plus vendors comes from neighboring farms, artists and craftspeople,” said Srini Damerla, proprietor. “Organic vegetables, eggs, meats, Guernsey-breed dairy products and honey, along with eco-certified fruits are here for you.”

Damerla’s membership club, the Choices for Healthy Living (CHILL Year-round) Program, is booming at the farmstand that customers reportedly have called “a hidden gem” in the area. Enrollees order ahead for later pickup dairy products, seasonal veggies, breads and meats.

Customer Deb Farrow, a resident of Francistown and CHILL member for two months, stopped by on Jan. 9 to pick up her current order — organic carrots, spinach and garlic.

“Our family likes to eat healthy whole foods as unprocessed as possible,” Farrow said. “Local farms are disappearing and I think it’s important to show farmers that what they provide to us is invaluable.”

The variety of handmades there includes grandma-knit or crocheted caps, finely designed wood decor and jewelry, plus colorful hand-sewn aprons and more.

First-time visitor Tammy Wetherbee of Lyndeborough said she heard about the farmstand from a neighbor. The former beekeeper took home handmade cucumber-and-honey soap, cold-pressed sunflower oil, white-kernel popcorn and other organics.

“We are committed to giving back to the community,” Damerla added. “We’re active in local charities for Goffstown Girl Scouts, we host a Little Free Library of books here and we’re a part of Goffstown Rotary Club charity events.”
