By Staff | Apr 28, 2024

NASHUA – The United Way of Greater Nashua will be hosting its next Coffee and Causes discussion, Charting the Future of Eldercare in New Hampshire, on May 3 from 10:30 a.m. to noon in the Carl Amelio Room at St. Joseph Hospital, 172 Kinsley St.

As America’s older adult population continues to grow, it’s crucial to assess and adapt our systems and infrastructure to provide better access to a comprehensive range of services suitable for our aging communities. What opportunities lie within this demographic shift and what changes are needed to harness them effectively?

Discover the efforts of the state State Commission on Aging and various supporting organizations as they collaborate to craft a Multisector Plan for Aging tailored to New Hampshire’s unique characteristics, history and existing initiatives in aging and disability. Your active participation is vital to the success of this plan’s development, so learn how you can contribute.

Furthermore, representatives from St. Joseph Hospital will enlighten us on their Behavioral Health Unit, delving into topics such as the referral process, intake procedures, staffing and length of stay. Bring your inquiries and join us for an informative session.
