Nashua Fire announces three promotions

NASHUA – Nashua Fire Rescue recently announced the promotion of the following three members.

Eric Tremblay was promoted to the rank of deputy fire chief. Tremblay joined Nashua Fire Rescue in May 1999, after serving with both the Litchfield and Bedford Fire Departments. He has an extensive history of leadership in the International Association of Fire Fighters, previously holding positions of vice president and secretary/treasurer of IAFF Local 789. Tremblay has been assigned as the shift commander of Group 3.

Michael O’Brien, Jr. was promoted to the rank of captain. O’Brien has served Nashua Fire Rescue since September 2006, holding several leadership positions within IAFF Local 789 including five years as vice president. His most recent assignment was with Engine Co. 4. O’Brien will now serve as the captain of Engine Co. 5 at the Airport Fire Station of Group 3.

Christopher Turgeon was promoted to the rank of lieutenant. Turgeon, who was hired in June 2011, served on the hazmat team prior to his promotion. He has been assigned to Engine Co. 3 at the Spit Brook Road Fire Station of Group 3.
