NASHUA – The United Way of Greater Nashua recently announced the kick off of its annual Shoebox Project for Seniors.

This heartwarming initiative involves assembling kits filled with useful and uplifting items for isolated seniors, just in time for Valentine’s Day.

The United Way is reaching out to residents for donations which will be used to create 500 kits for the clients of Meals on Wheels of Hillsborough County, Gateways Community Services, The Caregivers and the AmeriCorps Senior Companion Program.

To contribute, please visit http://tinyurl.com/UW-Shoebox. Feel free to purchase items elsewhere if you prefer. Monetary donations are also welcome at http://tinyurl.com/Shoebox-UW.

Donations can be dropped off at the United Way office at 20 Broad St. in Nashua until Feb. 1.
