LONDONDERRY – The Londonderry Arts Council is excited to announce an open call to all artists for participation in the 2024 Library Artist Program. This initiative is a wonderful opportunity for artists to showcase their work for one month at the Leach Library and engage with the local community.

The Library Artist Program is a unique platform that allows artists to display their work in Londonderry’s Leach Library. It aims to promote local talent and foster a culture of art appreciation within the community. The program is open to artists working in all mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography and more. Artists may display their work on nine easels, or in a locked glass display cabinet (for 3D mediums).

Artists interested in participating are invited to submit digital images of their work, along with a brief artist biographical statement. Submissions can be made online through the Londonderry Arts Council’s website at https://londonderryartscouncil.org/featuredartist. Click on the Application Form to apply.

Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of Arts Council members and are subject to Londonderry’s Community Standards for Public Art Display. Selected artists will be notified of available dates and invited to install their work in the library for a period of one month.
