HUDSON – Joseph King, 31, of Hudson, was recently charged in connection with an incident on Greenfield Drive involving domestic violence and burglary.

According to Hudson Police, officers arrived at 2 Greenfield Dr. at 12:09 p.m. on Dec. 2. Upon arrival, Kerri Brown, 40, of Hudson, told officers that she and King had been involved in a verbal dispute. King then left the residence on foot.

King was later apprehended by Pelham Police who found him walking along the side of the road in an impaired state. He was taken into protective custody when officers found drugs on his person.

After being released by Pelham Police, King allegedly returned to 2 Greenfield Dr. where he encountered Brown.

According to police, Brown told King that he was no longer welcome and ordered him to leave. However, he allegedly forced his way into the house and into Brown’s bedroom.

Brown reportedly told police that King attempted to steal her purse and that during the scuffle he punched her in the face.

King was taken into custody a short time later.

After further investigation, police discovered that Brown had filed a Domestic Violence Criminal Protective Order against King in April.

King now faces charges of burglary, robbery, domestic violence simple assault with injury and breach of bail. He was scheduled to be arraigned Dec. 4.

Under state law, if convicted, King could face up to 30 years in prison and fines of up $6,000.
