Positive Street Art and Southern New Hampshire Health to host 30-Minute Mural Walk

By Staff | Nov 21, 2023

NASHUA – Positive Street Art, a non-profit organization committed to fostering community engagement and wellness, recently announced its collaboration with Southern New Hampshire Health to introduce the 30-Minute Mural Walk.

Positive Street Art has been at the forefront of initiatives that bring communities together through the transformative power of art. The 30-Minute Mural Walk is designed to inspire individuals to adopt a healthier lifestyle by incorporating a half-hour walk into their lunch breaks. Participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the vibrant murals that adorn downtown Nashua; thus, merging physical activity with art appreciation.

The 30-Minute Mural Walk is set to launch on Nov. 27 from 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Volunteers will be standing by four Main Street murals to give out map cards and neon ties. It’s a great way to meet up with other walkers and make some new friends along the way.

“We are excited about the potential impact of this collaborative program on the mental and physical health of our community,” said Cecilia Ulibarri, executive director of Positive Street Art. “By combining the positive effects of physical activity with the joy of experiencing public art, we aim to create a unique and enriching experience for everyone involved.”

This initiative also aims to build a stronger sense of community across diverse populations. Through the 30-Minute Mural Walk, Positive Street Art and Southern New Hampshire Health aspire to cultivate a more connected and resilient community.

“We believe in the power of partnerships that promote health and community engagement,” said Betsy Houde, executive director of Community Partnerships and Operational Support at Southern New Hampshire Health. “This collaboration aligns with our commitment to support initiatives that contribute to the overall well-being of the communities we serve.”
