Greater Nashua Crop Hunger Walk slated for Oct. 22
NASHUA – This year’s Greater Nashua Crop Hunger Walk will be held on Oct. 22 at 8 a.m. at Temple Beth Abraham, 4 Raymond St.
The event is part of the larger Crop Project which was launched in 1947 when farmers were asked to make food donations following World War II. The first Crop Hunger Walk was held in Bismark, N.D. in 1969. Since then, millions of dollars have been raised to combat hunger and substandard living.
