NASHUA – The Nashua Lions Club will turn 100 years old on Sept. 26.

As part of the celebration, Mayor James Donchess will join members of the club at City Hall Plaza on Sept. 22 at 10 a.m. to raise the Lions flag.

On Sept. 30, the club will hold a gala at the Nashua Country Club featuring immediate Past International President Brian Sheehan.

Club President Erin Hendrickson said she is looking forward to the event.

“I’m honored to be leading the club this year and we are pleased that past president Sheehan and his partner in service Lion Lori will be with us,” she said.

In addition to the mayor, other dignitaries expected to attend include House Speaker and longtime Lion Sherm Packard, newly-elected International Director Steve Middlemiss of Hudson and past International Directors John Youney, Bob Libin and Ed Farrington.
