Stolen heating oil truck recovered

By Staff | Mar 1, 2019

MANCHESTER (AP) – Police say a delivery truck taken from a New Hampshire heating oil company has been found.

The truck was taken about two weeks after a service van was also stolen. Police said the truck was found in a parking lot Thursday, and its over 2,000 gallons of oil appeared to be untouched.

On Wednesday, Manchester’s ABSCO Heating owner Elaine Cady said the company normally delivers about 5,000 gallons of oil each day, but they were going to fall short of that number.

Cady says two weeks ago another vehicle was stolen, but it was brought back and parked in the area of where the truck was stolen. She says the thief tried to paint over the van’s company logo.
