More than two dozen candidates vying for seats on BOA and BOE
NASHUA - Twenty-eight candidates are running for either the Board of Aldermen or the Board of Education in this year’s city election on Nov. 4 -- only three of them are running unopposed. In Ward 5, four candidates are vying for the seat being vacated by Alderman Ernest Jette, who has held the post for eight years. This year’s candidates include Paula Johnson, Jennice Chewlin, Brenda Garneau and Dr. Justin Gerstenfield. Johnson’s public service includes tenures with the Board of Aldermen, the Board of Education and serving as a state representative. Chewlin has been the CEO of the Chewlin Group since 2016 and has lived in Nashua since 2022. Garneau, a lifelong resident, has been the vice president of ABS Cleaning since 1989.
