NASHUA - Rivier University alumna Laura Gallagher, the registered nurse clinical practice manager at Elliot Hospital, recently received the university’s Outstanding Nursing Professional Award. Gallagher graduated from Rivier in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in nursing. She then began her career as an RN at the Hanover Hill nursing home in Manchester. During her time there, Gallagher took on leadership positions including infection control nurse and nursing director. Hanover Hill was also the first nursing home to fall into the clutches of the COVID-19 pandemic. During those turbulent months, Gallagher collaborated with state and local officials to ensure the health and safety of her residents.
