Bernie & Phyl’s CEO needs kidney transplant

NASHUA — A community event on April 11 aims to help save the life of Larry Rubin, CEO of Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture, who is in need of a kidney transplant. Kidneys for Kindness – A Life for Larry will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at 243 Daniel Webster Hwy. The event is free and open to the public and will focus on raising awareness about living kidney donation. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Rubin, hear his story and learn how they may be able to help. The event will also feature Kelly Dyer, founder of Kidneys for Kindness and a living kidney donor, who will share her personal experience and answer questions about the donation process.
