More than 25 Merrimack residents to participate in annual Jimmy Fund Walk
MERRIMACK — Twenty-six Merrimack residents will lace up their sneakers on Oct. 4 to take part in this year’s Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Stanley Glowacki and Jacob Miller are two of this year’s Walk Heroes. Walk Heroes are adult and pediatric cancer patients and survivors who provide inspiration and motivation to walkers along the course. In October 2024, Stanley was just weeks away from his fourth birthday when he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic lymphoma that had spread into his spinal column. Now five years old, Stanley’s fight continues. To date, his family’s team, Standing with Stanley, has raised $9,089. "His heroes help him fight like Spider-Man," Stanley’s family said in a written statement.
