Birdsell, Gray pleased with plaintiff agreement to dismiss lawsuit against HB 1264

CONCORD – he plaintiffs who filed the challenge to HB 1264 agreed to dismiss their case. Senator Regina Birdsell (R-Hampstead) and Senator James Gray (R-Rochester) issued the following statements:

“The decision by the plaintiffs to agree to dismiss their case is a win for all New Hampshire voters,” said Senator Regina Birdsell (R-Hampstead). “Every time we go to vote Granite Staters should have the confidence they are voting in a clean and fair election. This legislation brings transparency and accountability to the election process and ensures every person who votes in New Hampshire is following the laws of our great state.”

“It was made clear by the New Hampshire Supreme Court that requirements to obtain a New Hampshire driver’s license or registration is independent of HB 1264,” said Senator James Gray (R-Rochester). “This legislation protects the integrity of our elections while continuing to support every legal voter’s ability to cast a ballot.”
