NASHUA – The home stretch begins on the road tonight for the Nashua Silver Knights.

The 22-32 Knights will be taking on the second-place New Britain Bees (35-20) at New Britain Stadium tonight to begin their final four games of a very disappointing 2026 season.

After tonight’s game, Nashua will be home at Historic Holman Stadium Thursday vs. last place Westfield and Friday night vs. fourth place Norwich. The team will go out with a bang as Friday is also a postgame fireworks night. Thursday’s game will be broadcast on Nashua ETV.

They wind up the season on the road on Saturday night at Vermont. There’s no drama in the FCBL final regular season week as Vermont, Worcester, New Britain and Norwich are your playoff teams.

How do the Knights, who just last Thursday were only a half game out of a playoff spot, approach the final few games?

“We’re just having fun now, positive reps,” Nashua manager Nick Guarino said. “Have some fun, get the most out of the final (four) days you have with each other. … You’re on the back end. Just enjoy the last week that we’re up here, and we’re not going to stress about it too much. I stressed about it for two-and-a-half months already, I’m going to enjoy the last week of the season.”

Nashua begins the final week after two days off. Monday’s game vs. Norwich was cancelled due to the heavy rain, and the team had a scheduled day off Tuesday.

NOTES

Nashua has struggled at the gate this summer, thank in part to a glut of early weeknight games.The Knights are over 300 shy per game of last year’s franchise record attendance, averaging 1,310 per game, fifth in the league – same as their standing. Conversely, Vermont leads the league with 2,635 per game while Lowell is at 2,081. Norwich is a distant third (1,423)….

Speaking of Vermont, FCBL Commissioner Joe Paolucci told The Telegraph the Lake Monsters were fined an undisclosed amount for pulling their 10 players out of the All-Star Game two weeks ago after it was postponed a day…
