NASHUA – It’s the Bikers vs. the Hikers in this year’s Futures Collegiate Baseball League All-Star Game at Historic Holman Stadium.

And six Silver Knights will be Bikers.

The teams were mainly divided with Nashua, Westfield and Vermont making up the Bikers while Norwich, Lowell, Worcester and New Britain are Hikers.

A couple of players from Lowell and one from Norwich were added to the Bikers to help even things out.

Silver Knights on the team include starting pitchers Nigel Cross and Will Perkowski plus reliever Brandon Metivier, with position players being outfielders Connor Smith and Phoenix Williams and infielder Peter Keblinsky (ss-3b).

Smith is one of the top players in the league out of Gannon University in Pennsylvania as he was leading the FCBL in homers (five, four at Holman) and RBIs (28) at last look and third in hitting (.336). He will also compete in the Home Run Derby that will feature former Red Sox World Series standout Jonny Gomes.

Keblinsky was second in RBIs at mid-week with 25. Williams, Nashua’s center fielder, was tied for second in stolen bases with 20. Perkowski is third in the league in strikeouts and he and Cross (2.54 ERA) have been reliable Friday-Saturday starters. Metivier, a Nashua native, is in his fourth year in the league, this year used mainly in middle relief and has 17 strikeouts in 20 innings pitched.

Vermont and New Britain lead the league with 10 All-Stars each.

Nashua manager Nick Guarino will help manage the Bikers.
