Rivier athletes earn regional and conference recognition

NASHUA – Rivier women’s ice hockey first-year Chloe Bryda has been named a New England Division III Women’s All-Star, the New England Hockey Writers Association announced this morning.
Bryda, who was named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Rookie and Player of the Year last month, is the second player in program history to receive this recognition.
The Cumberland, R.I. native recorded 16 goals and 12 assists in 26 games for the Raiders, helping Rivier to is best ever season with a 17-10-0 record and its second consecutive trip to the MASCAC Championship game. Bryda finished tied-sixth in the nation in game-winning goals (5), while her .62 goals per game ranked tied-25th in the country. In addition to leading the MASCAC in points and goals, the first-year rounded out the 2025-26 campaign with a plus/minus rating of +14, tied for the best in the conference.
Bryda will be honored on Sunday, April 19 at an awards reception at the Price Restaurant in Saugus, Mass.

WALSH GNAC ROOKIE OF WEEK
Rivier men’s lacrosse first-year attacker Conor Walsh was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
Walsh totaled eight points on five goals and three assists during the Raiders’ 2-0 week, shooting 76.9 percent while also causing a turnover. The Amesbury, Mass. native opened the week with two goals and two assists in a 28-1 victory over Mitchell. He followed with a four-point effort (3-1-4), highlighted by the overtime game-winning goal in a win against Norwich.
Walsh and the Rivier men’s lacrosse team return to action on Wednesday, April 8, hosting New England College in a GNAC and intrastate matchup. Opening faceoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Don Melander Field.
MEN’S VOLLEYBALL
BARISH, DICKINSON EARN GNAC HONORS
Juniors Justin Barish and Tyler Dickinson were recognized by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) on Monday afternoon, earning Setter and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively.
Barish, Dickinson, and the Rivier men’s volleyball team return to action on Tuesday, April 7, hosting Regis (Mass.) in the GNAC Quarterfinals. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Muldoon Center.
Barish totaled 59 assists (9.83 per set) during the Raiders’ 2-0 week, while also contributing 12 digs (2.00 per set) and five total blocks. The Melville, N.Y. native posted 32 assists, five digs, and three block assists in a 3-0 victory over Emmanuel (Mass.). He followed with 27 assists, seven digs, and two total blocks, including one solo, in a straight-set win over Dean.
Dickinson dominated at the net, recording nine total blocks (1.50 per set) and hitting .464 with 16 kills on the week. The Lincoln, R.I. native opened play with six total blocks (one solo, five assists) and nine kills while hitting .750 in the sweep over Emmanuel (Mass.). He added three total blocks and seven kills in the 3-0 win over Dean.
