Rivier’s Baguidy, Shaw-Glen make men’s hoop All-GNAC

WINTHROP,Mass. – Rivier men’s basketball seniors Robenson Baguidy and Izaiah Shaw-Glen, have earned postseason recognition from the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC), being named to the All-Conference Second and Third-Team, respectively.

Baguidy earned GNAC Second Team honors after starting all 25 games this season and putting together a career-best campaign. He averaged 39.4 minutes per game and ranks fifth in the GNAC with 18.5 points per contest, adding 4.7 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game. His 158 total assists lead the conference, while his 62 steals on the year rank second in the GNAC.

The Goffstown, N.H. native recorded three double-doubles and tallied a career-high 31 points in a 96-83 victory over Elms on February 17. Over the course of the season, he also earned Player of the Week honors twice.

Shaw-Glen earned GNAC Third Team honors after starting all 25 games this season. He averaged 35.0 minutes per contest while posting 18.8 points per game and shooting 55.9% from the field, ranking fourth in the league in both categories. He also contributed 7.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game, along with 25 blocked shots on the season.

The Brooklyn, N.Y. native recorded four 30-point outings, including a career-high 37 points on February 11 against Saint Joseph’s (Maine). Over the course of the year, he tallied seven double-double performances and earned GNAC Player of the Week honors once as a Raider.

Both Raiders surpassed the 1,000-career point mark this season. Shaw-Glen reached the milestone in a 59-58 road win over Colby-Sawyer on Jan. 28, while Baguidy eclipsed the mark at home on Jan. 31 against University of Saint Joseph (Conn.)
