NASHUA — Sophomore goalkeeper Jake Lydon has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Goalkeeper of the Week for the second straight week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
Following his second-half shutout against Plymouth State on Feb. 22, Lydon delivered another stellar performance on Saturday, blanking Curry in the first half of an 11-3 non-conference victory. The Rowley, Mass., native finished with seven saves and allowed just one goal in the win.
Lydon and the Rivier men’s lacrosse team return to action this Saturday for their conference opener against Dean. The opening face-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Joanne Merrill Field.
