NASHUA – Rivier women’s ice hockey first-year Chloe Bryda earned her third Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Rookie of the Week honor and first Player of the Week recognition after helping the Raiders sweep King’s College to open the New Year.
In less than 24 hours, Bryda totaled five points by way of four goals and an assist, with a cumulative 14 shots on goal, and finished with a +5 rating across the two-game set.
The Cumberland, R.I. native sparked Friday’s 3-2 victory over the Monarchs with a pair of goals, then carried that momentum into Saturday’s matchup, recording two more tallies, one being the game-winning goal, and an assist in the 10-1 win.
Following the weekend, Bryda now leads the MASCAC in points (11) and goals (8) and ranks second in plus-minus (+11).
Byrda and the Raiders return to action Friday, January 9, on the road for a non-conference matchup with Nichols College at Levy Rink. Puck drop is set for 3:40 p.m.
